Remember being 20?
The energy…so much energy! You could work all day, party till 4am. Sleep for 3 hours and do it again…Without any under eye bags and just a coffee in hand!
Something changes as we age. Sleep is needed, stress kills your libido and all of a sudden weight creeps on in the most undesirable places. All of a sudden health is an actual topic of interest.
Then you start seeing the divide between people.
The divide between those who have taken care of their bodies and those that have let it slip year after year. Those who have made tiny, seemingly in inconsequential choices every day and those who have brushed it off with, “I am too busy. I don’t’ have the money. I’ll start tomorrow.”

The obesity rate in America is on a constant incline.
According to an analysis published in Jama Internal Medicine, “75 percent of men and 67 percent of women ages 25 and older are now overweight or obese. That’s a startling shift from 20 years ago when 63 percent of men and 55 percent of women were overweight or obese.”
These numbers are upsetting to say the least. Every day I work with men and women who’s lifestyle habits are slowly killing them.
60 is young! 70 is young! I have seen vibrant 60, 70, 80+ who are socially, mentally and physically active and put to shame some of the 25 year olds who can barely take a walk around the block without being winded.
I also have seen men and women who struggle to get in and out of a chair, are exhausted and have numerous health issues as young as 20, 40 and 50!
