It’s Time to Stop Feeling Like S***

It’s time! It’s time you stop feeling like S*** about your body, your overall self, how you look, the food you eat and in your skin!

It’s time you upgrade yourself, the way you look, the way you feel and the thoughts you have about your body.

The women’s empowerment movement going on around the world right now blows my mind! It truly is amazing when we think back at how far we’ve come in such a short period of time. I feel truly honored by the small contribution I get to make helping women love how they look and feel from the inside out.

But here’s the harsh truth.

Had I not overcome my body shame, hate, and food obsession I never would have had the energy or confidence in myself to pursue my own business. Let alone a business that helps other women!

I’m going to take it even one step further: Had I never overcome my body issues and obsession I would not have had the energy to heal the parts of me that had been so badly wounded and hurt they were quietly crippling my life.

I would have continued using food, wine, excessive working and other distractions as a way to keep myself busy, disconnected to my true body wisdom and with zero chance to hear what it was I was really yearning for.

Overcoming poor body image isn’t just about being able to finally drop those 20lbs and look good in a bikini. It’s about how you show up in the world. And that, my friend, is a direct reflection of how you view yourself. Your world, relationships, and experiences are a mirror of what you believe about yourself… ALWAYS!

So what do you do if you are reading this and ready to make a change?

  1. Make a Declaration. A contract that from this point forward you will only love yourself, accept yourself and have gratitude for yourself. Even (and especially) if you may not have it all figured out and you still fumble from time to time. Today is the first day of getting to know and unconditionally love yourself.
  2. Start putting you first. Like anything else that is important to you, you must set intentions daily regarding how you want to show up, live and feel. In order to do that you must put yourself first! Our bodies, health, and emotional well-being deserve just as much attention as our careers, social lives, and relationships. Actually… they deserve much more! Your body is the vehicle to your success and everything else you want.
  3. Drop the excuses. Drop the “I can’t because ______.” There is never enough time or money for the things you don’t want to do. Either you want and believe you DESERVE to have a beautiful loving relationship with yourself and body and it is important to you or you don’t.  Like any relationship it takes work. And like any loving relationship it is so worth it!

These are just the beginning steps to taking your body confidence and self-love to the next level.

I know how hard it is to fall back into old patterns and habits that make us wonder if we are actually worthy of being blissfully happy within ourselves.
