Feeling like a hostage in your own body?

Haute Fitness

Losing faith in your ability to create, achieve, and manifest is one of the scariest things a person can go through.

Ironically, that is actually something I have experienced multiple times throughout my life – both in my body and my relationships..

I know how it feels – powerless, as if there is no control.

No control to change the course of the inevitable cliff that you seem to be driving off of daily.

You have people everywhere telling you that all you have to do is make a decision. Stick to it. Be consist. You aren’t trying hard enough. You don’t want it bad enough. It’s not that hard.

And all those voices just seem to bring you deeper and deeper into sheer panic.

That panic then pulls you down into worse decisions that reaffirm you are in fact a failure.

So what if you are reading this right now and you feel like a failure in your body? What if you have completely lost faith in your ability to lose weight, feel healthy, exude confidence, and show off your sexiness?

What do you do when you lose trust in your own body and in yourself?

First off, let’s get really real for a second: cut yourself some slack. The journey is never linear, and honestly, if it was, what’s the fun in that?

The journey is about having your goal in front of you and taking small steps and celebrating small wins until you are at your destination. You cannot allow the hiccups and roadblocks to deter you from your vision.

“But I just wish I was there already!”  Yeah, I know you do, but then there will be a new hurdle to overcome, so enjoy the journey.

I’m going to guess you’ve heard those exact words of encouragement before. And if we’re being honest with ourselves here, those words don’t always encourage us to do much. I don’t want to leave you with such generic words of encouragement that you have possibly heard before, so let’s get back to your immediate problem.

Sometimes, you have to get past the same old same old and get down to the root of the immediate problem.

I’d be willing to bet that the actual problem you’re facing is that you don’t trust yourself, your body, your ability to transform, lose weight, stay consistent, be motivated, hit your goals, or stay on track with healthy choices. Right? Am I missing anything?

Instead of getting bogged down in everything you could do, let’s look at one simple step you can take right now.

Get your trust back – trust in yourself.

If you keep jumping from quick fix to quick fix, you will continue to stay in a cycle of starting strong and then falling off. Inevitably, this will happen if this is the route you take.

Never making decisions from a clear grounded position will definitely leave you with a lack of trust in your ability to achieve your goals. If you’re always jumping on board to the next shiny object, you’ll never get where you truly want to go.

Whether those jumps are from personal training to a juice cleanse, or from a Paleo diet to personal coaching, if the decision to invest and embark on this new lifestyle isn’t approached with solidity and confidence, it will never work.

You will struggle to find ways to achieve your goals and/or actually stick with them.

It’s time for you to start living a life with goals and ambitions that you know will work, deep down in your core. Trust yourself and know that the decision you are making to better your life is the best decision you can make.

Without trusting yourself FIRST, you will not succeed in the future.

What’s stopping you from trusting yourself? Have you “failed” before and afraid to “fail” again?

You’ve never actually “failed” – you’ve only given up on the idea/goal because you didn’t trust yourself.

Stop letting your own distrust hold you back from living the life you know you were meant to live – confident, sexy, and happy!
